What is the Benevolent Asian jade Society of New England (BAJS)?

The Society was started in 1983 by eight sworn officers of the Boston Police Department known as the Asian Jade Society of Boston. Since then, the name of the Society has been changed to the Benevolent Asian Jade Society of New England (BAJS of New England). The Society is a Not For Profit organization and a member of the National Asian Peace Officers Association (NAPOA).

The Society's membership consists of law enforcement officers as defined in their state, county, city or town within the region of the states of New England. The Society also has associate memberships that consist of any person who has worked or is interested in promoting law enforcement or related fields. The goal of the Society is to establish a network and bring together the Asian American Brothers and Sisters of the various law enforcement entities within New England.

The National Asian Peace Officers Association (NAPOA) is proud to partner with the Benevolent Asian Jade Society of New England (BAJSNE) and the National Association of Asian American Law Enforcement Commanders (NAAALEC) in hosting the 23rd Annual Training Conference to be held on August 9 – 13, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Boston, One Avenue De Lafayette, Boston, MA  02111.  This year's conference takes the theme of "United We Stand."  The theme reflects the challenges our members, our partners, and our customers will have to face together in the 21st century.

NAPOA has a long reputation of providing its attendees with top notch training and the tools to take on leadership positions.  This leadership conference is designed to help attendees acquire and develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide leadership in diverse organizations.  This conference will also provide valuable insight on contemporary issues and trends facing law enforcement, and an opportunity for attendees to meet and collaborate with local, state, and federal personnel from law enforcement agencies throughout the country.  With renowned speakers, classes and workshops, mentoring and networking sessions, along with the legendary hospitality of the BAJSNE, this is a must attend event.
